Keeshond Rescue

ElseyKeeshond Rescue is a rehoming service for any Keeshond who is unfortunate enough to find itself in need of a new home. It is available to anyone who owns or knows of a Keeshond in need, Club members and non Club members alike.

Rescue rehomed ten Keeshonds in 2006, eight dogs and two bitches.

The picture opposite is of Elsey, eight years. The owner's husband had become ill and all her time was taken up caring for him. Elsey was being looked after by a nephew, who had a number of other dogs, and could not keep her permanently.

Her new owner rehomed an elderly Rescue some years ago, and after she died they got a puppy. Now that puppy was growing up they felt they would like another Rescue and so Elsey joined the family. Elsey has made herself very much at home. She has made great friends with her young male companion and is a real delight to her new owners.

We sometimes need help, especially with transporting these Keeshonds around the country to their new homes. Sometimes we also need temporary accommodation. If you can help in any way, I would be pleased to hear from you. A big thank you to all the people who have helped in various ways in the past. It is greatly appreciated.

Keeshond Rescue is run and organised by Jeane Waller with the help of Geraldine Clark as Fund Administrator.
